Abstract: The author conducted the interview survey in healthcare workers who were engaged in terminal medical care in the Czech Republic in September 2017. This paper marshals and examines the results of the interview survey. During the interview survey, legal issues of terminal medical care were lively discussed. The author sorts out those issues from several aspects to examine each of them, and discusses them from a comprehensive viewpoint. While there is no statute for terminal medical care other than only some exceptions in Japan, the law of terminal medical care has recently been established in the Czech Republic. The Czech issues on legal norms of terminal medical care may give Japan helpful suggestions.
