Abstract: Being able to communicate about themselves and their culture is one area that is important when planning and carrying out pre-departure programs for university students embarking on a study abroad program. Although the areas of inquiry and extent of detail is unpredictable, certainly, we as professionals can make intuitive guesses. In this research, I will offer results acquired from student reports that will shed light on our professional intuitions, thereby helping us to create a well-founded pre-departure program.
