| Abstract: | This study aims to review the previous literature on eco-control and clarify the current status and issues of eco-control research. The previous literature on eco-control was categorized into three research themes: components, antecedents, and consequences of eco-control. Findings of this study suggest different avenues for future research: (1) researches on the various configuration of eco-control and the effects of them, (2) the impact of institutional factors and managers’ commitment on eco-control based on the institutional theory and contingency theory, (3) questionnaire surveys measuring the environmental and economic performance using objective data. |
