Abstract: The absorption spectrum of ^<14>N O and ^<15>N O in the region below 100nm was investigated by means of high resolution spectroscopy. A fairly sharp and weak band was found in the vicinity of the second member of well-known β series, which is very diffuse and strong absorption. The terminating state of the band is assumed to be a Rydberg state ^4Π or ^4Σ, which converge to the state of NO^+, b^3Π or A^1Π. The band was found to be the (0,0) transition by means of isotopic study. The band origin and roatational constant are estimated to be νo=123 698.8cm^<-1> and Bo=1.452cm^<-1> (r=1.25 A), respectively.
