Abstract: アポトーシスとは細胞自身が保有する自爆死機構の引き金を引くことでもたらされる細胞死であり,生体内では幅広く観察される現象である.本稿では,免疫系で観察されるアポトーシスに関して,(1)T細胞・B細胞レパートリーの形成,(2)過剰な免疫反応の抑制,(3)キラー細胞の傷害機序,の3点からアポトーシス機構がいかに関与しているのか,概説を試みた.アポトーシス機構の乱れは自己免疫疾患やエイズの発症の起因となっている.
Apoptosis is a physiological cell death and plays important roles in the various fields of immunology, including (1) in the formation of T cell and B cell repertoires, (2) in the regulation of hyper-activated T or B cells by Fas-FasL system, and (3) in the effector phases of killer T cells or NK cells to eliminate the tumor cells or virus-infected cells. The disturbance of apoptosis mechanismwill induce various immunological disorders such as AIDS and autoimmune disease.
